French Drawings from Ingres to Cézanne

In Summer 1996, the 75 most important watercolours and drawings by French artists of the 19th century from the collection of the Budapest Museum of Fine Arts will be on the view in the Hamburg Kunsthalle, including works by Delacroix, Manet, Cézanne and Van Gogh. This excellent collection is to be shown only in Hamburg and in the Museum of Art in Bern, which owns a particularly impressive number of works by Ingres. The exhibition offers the chance to experience at first hand a century of French drawings.
