Vija Celmins | Gerhard Richter. Double Vision
The Hamburger Kunsthalle offers visitors the opportunity to become active themselves in the picture workshop in the atrium of the Galerie der Gegenwart! At a mediation table designed for the exhibition, in a creative environment, they can pursue questions that Vija Celmins and Gerhard Richter also asked themselves: How do we perceive the world? How does seeing influence our perception? And what is real?
Our focus will be on everyday objects such as a hot-water botttle, a plant a chair. What do we know about the objects that surround us every day? Observation and drawing suggestions at the table will introduce you to the artistic working methods of Vija Celmins and Gerhard Richter. Creates and edit pictures yourself - with pencil on paper or with a digital drawing program.
The PICTURE LAB is accessible at any time during the opening hours of the exhibition.

Every 3rd Sunday of the month, form 2:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. the Hamburger Kunsthalle invites you to become active yourself! You will meet art educators here in the PICTURE LAB in the Lichthof of the Galerie der Gegenwart who will behappy to delve deeper into the Work of Vija Celmins and Gerhard Richter.
