Malschule e. V.
Förderverein Malschule in der Kunsthalle e. V.
The Förderverein Malschule in der Kunsthalle e.V. was founded in 1998. It supports the department of education in the Hamburger Kunsthalle with contributions and donations from around 3000 members.
The Malschul-project has a long tradition: Already the first director of the Hamburger Kunsthalle Alfred Lichtwark exhibited children's pictures in the museum and initiated "exercises in the observation of works of art" with schoolgirls. In 1967, children's painting courses were offered for the first time, a year later the first German museum painting school got its own place. To this day, children's courses take place there, but also school projects, holiday programs and workshop courses for adults. As a member you actively support this work.
The Malschulverein offers numerous events based on the exhibitions of the Kunsthalle in an extensive member program, about which you can inform yourself and register in the event calendar on the Malschule's website.
With the membership of our association you have free admission to the Hamburger Kunsthalle. In addition, you can attend the events of the Kunsthalle at a reduced price.
