THE ART OF CREATIVITY AND INNOVATION
A workshop for teams that feel stuck and often work under time pressure.
Creativity and innovation are key skills in a complex, rapidly changing working world. But how can we shake up habitual thought patterns in our everyday work routine in order to open up new ways of accomplishing our goals?
The workshop shows team members how to transfer inspiring impulses gained from looking at art to their own working lives. Together we will explore what is generally considered creative and innovative in art – and what we can learn from it for our own thinking and actions.
The first step is to study selected works of art in the collection. We will observe how Impressionism represented a radical innovation in the art of the time, immerse ourselves in the visual imagination of Caspar David Friedrich, and experience how diversity can become a source of collective creativity by exploring Isa Genzken’s assemblages. In the subsequent studio session, participants will try their own hand at creating an artwork, experimenting with inventive and intuitive methods and discovering the creative potential of chance. To conclude we will reflect on our experiences during the workshop and develop concrete ideas for transferring them to our professional practice: What does it take to allow creative ideas to emerge and grow in a team? How can I put my own creativity to better use?
