With "Class Society. The Dutch Golden Age," from November 26, 2021 to March 27, 2022, the Hamburger Kunsthalle will dedicate a comprehensive show to a chapter of one of the most multifaceted epochs in European art history with approximately 150 works - paintings, drawings, prints, photographs and video art. The starting point for the exhibition is the high-caliber holdings of 17th-century Dutch paintings at the Hamburger Kunsthalle, which at the same time form the focal point of the Old Masters Collection and which the exhibition aims to honor accordingly. 

In the exhibition, the works of the Dutch masters meet works by Stefan Marx and Lars Eidinger. The two artists reflect on the themes and motifs, place them in a larger context, and thereby remove traditional boundaries.
