Even before the anticipated launch on September 25, 2020, our app will take you on a virtual tour of our special exhibition "Max Beckmann. Female - Male". During a 70-minute audio tour you will learn interesting facts about selected works.Max Beckmann is considered a master of modernism and a powerful interpreter of his time. Throughout his life, the focus of his work was on the human being with his existence and fate - and the examination of the manifold roles of femininity and masculinity. Available in German and soon also in English for smartphones with the operating system IOS ( version 10 and above) and Android ( version 5 and above).

Highlights of the Hamburger Kunsthalle
Our audio tour to the highlights of the collection provides in-depth information on individual works of art in German and English. We also offer a 45-minute tour in German for children from the age of 8 with exciting and entertaining stories about the artworks (from summer 2020).
