Art for the ears & eyes

Four times a year, on Thursdays at 7 pm, advanced and highly talented students from Hamburg’s Hochschule für Musik und Theater (HfMT) perform at the Hamburger Kunsthalle. Award-winning young musicians present hour-long programmes that closely or broadly reflect the themes of artworks in the permanent collection or the special exhibitions. Since it began in autumn 2012, more than 30 concerts have been given in this series, which is supported by the Franz-Wirth-Gedächtnisstiftung. Many of the young artists who have appeared here have since established international careers as concert artists or stage performers.
