To counteract the spread of the corona virus, the Hamburger Kunsthalle will be closed from 2 November to 30 November 2020. There will be no exhibition and event programme during this period. We are thus following the instructions of the Department of Culture and Media of 30 October 2020.

GENERAL

  • Our offers remain open and accessible from anywhere in the digital space - take advantage of our offers from the website, explore our online collection or follow us in social media on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. 
  •  Download the Kunsthalle app free of charge from home or on the road before your visit. In addition to useful information about the Kunsthalle, the app offers you audio tours through the highlights of the collection, our exhibition »MAX BECKMANN. Feminine-Masculine«  or to our collection presentation »MAKING HISTORY. Hans Makart and the Salon Painting of the 19th Century« for free download at 

GOOGLE PLAY APP STORE 

  • The museum store in the old building is also open during the temporary closing time from 3 November daily from 12 p.m. - 6 p.m.  and looks forward to your visit. Masks are compulsory.
     
  • The library is open until 30 November 2020 on Tuesdays from 12 p.m.-6 p.m. (after prior registration by email).
     
  • The restaurant THE CUBE and the CAFÉ LIEBERMANN are closed until November 30, 2020.

The Hamburger Kunsthalle is a public place. Therefore, the conditions of the contact restriction according to the Ordinance of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg for the Containment of the Spread of the Coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) apply.
